Google Hawk Update was rolled out in August 2017 which aimed at improving geo filtering which Google uses to surface local organic search results. It aimed at restricting duplicate results by ensuring that the businesses online can’t dominate search page results by having multiple listings. Through this, Google aimed at achieving visibility improved user experience and rankings.
