Simplecast Podcast Submission Services That Get Your Show Listed, Claimed and Found

Simplecast is one of the most respected hosting platforms in podcasting. It gives you professional analytics, a clean publishing workflow, and access to the same publisher tools large networks rely on. What it does not do is put your show into every listening app for you. Our Simplecast podcast submission services close that gap.

We prepare your feed and submit it to each directory by hand. We claim every listing, check that the show actually appears in the apps your audience uses, and then make the show findable in search. We work with independent creators, B2B brands and podcast networks across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and India.

Platform Basics

What Simplecast Does, and What It Leaves to You

Simplecast is a podcast hosting and analytics platform founded in 2015. SiriusXM acquired it in 2020 and paired it with AdsWizz, the company's audio advertising business. Today it sits inside that publisher stack as a hosting and content management system for shows of every size.

When you publish on Simplecast, you get:

  • an RSS feed
  • a customizable show website
  • embeddable web players
  • IAB-certified analytics
  • Recast for sharing clips
  • on higher plans, dynamic ad insertion and monetization tools

What you do not get is a directory. Simplecast is where your audio lives. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora and the rest are where people listen. Connecting the two is a job you still have to do.

"One-click publishing" covers episodes, not listings

This is the point most new Simplecast users miss. Simplecast's own help documentation says submitting your RSS feed is a one-time process that you complete separately in each directory. Each directory then reviews and approves the show on its own timeline, which Simplecast cannot speed up.

Once a directory has approved your feed, every new episode flows through automatically. The "one click" is real, but it only starts working after the listings exist. Our job is to create those listings properly, the first time.

Why Simplecast Shows Go Missing from Directories

We audit a lot of Simplecast feeds. The same problems appear again and again, and most are invisible until a listener tells you they can't find the show.

The feed isn't live yet. Simplecast activates your RSS feed URL only after at least one episode is published and a payment card is on file. Creators on the free trial often try to submit before either condition is met, and the submission fails without an obvious reason.

Show Settings are incomplete. The title, description, artwork, language, categories and author email in Show Settings become the top section of your feed. Directories read those fields directly. A missing owner email blocks verification. A wrong language hides the show from the right audience. A generic category buries it.

The directory checklist is out of date. Older Simplecast guides and third-party articles still list Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Breaker and RadioPublic. All of them have shut down or changed. Pandora is now reached through Simplecast Creator Connect, and one submission there covers both Pandora and SiriusXM. Working from a stale list wastes time and leaves real platforms untouched.

Migrations leave old pointers behind. When a show moves to Simplecast from another host, Apple Podcasts Connect and Spotify both need the new feed URL confirmed by hand. If that step is skipped, the directory can keep polling a dead address, and new episodes stop appearing.

Listings are live but unclaimed. An unclaimed listing works for listeners but hides data from you. It also leaves your show profile open to outdated artwork and descriptions you can't edit.

Service Scope

Our Simplecast Podcast Submission Services

Every engagement starts with the feed and ends with a verified listing. A submission receipt alone doesn't count as finished.

Feed and Show Settings audit

We validate your Simplecast RSS feed against the requirements of each target directory. We review every Show Settings field and correct the metadata before anything is submitted. That includes:

  • square artwork at the right size
  • a unique show title with no keyword stuffing
  • accurate categories
  • the correct language
  • a visible owner email
  • clean episode titles

Core directory submission

We submit and verify your show on the four platforms that carry most podcast listening:

  • Apple Podcasts, through Apple Podcasts Connect, including the claim step for shows that are already listed
  • Spotify, through Spotify for Creators, using a dedicated podcast account rather than a personal one
  • Amazon Music and Audible, through Amazon's podcaster portal
  • YouTube, through Simplecast's YouTube Publishing connection (covered below)

Pandora and SiriusXM through Creator Connect

Pandora submissions now run through Simplecast Creator Connect. Creator Connect is free and does not require you to host on Simplecast. One submission covers both Pandora and SiriusXM.

Pandora serves listeners in the United States only. We tell you plainly whether this route is worth prioritizing for your audience.

Extended directory set

We then cover the platforms that fill in the rest of the market:

  • iHeartRadio
  • Deezer
  • Pocket Casts
  • Player FM
  • TuneIn
  • Listen Notes
  • Podcast Index
  • Castbox
  • Podcast Addict

Some of these need a form, some need an email verification code, and some pick up the feed automatically but still need to be claimed. We handle each one on its own terms.

India-market directories

For shows with an Indian or South Asian audience, we submit to Gaana and to JioSaavn through its YourCast portal. Both appear in Simplecast's own recommended list. JioSaavn sends its verification code to the email address inside your RSS feed, so we confirm that address is visible before we submit.

Apple-derived apps

Overcast and several other apps build their catalogs from the Apple Podcasts directory. These apps have no form to fill in. We confirm your show appears in them once Apple approves it, and we fix the feed if it doesn't.

Verification & Ownership

Listing claims, badges and embeds

After approval, we claim every listing that offers a claim route, so you control the profile and can see the data it holds. We then:

  • add Listen and Subscribe badges to your Simplecast website and web players
  • collect every live listing URL into a single handover sheet
  • check each listing on real devices before we sign off
Networks & Brand Publishers

Built for Networks and Brand Publishers

Simplecast's higher tiers are built for publishers running several shows, carrying advertising, or answering to a compliance team. Distribution for these accounts needs more planning than for a single independent show.

Download-based plan sizing. Simplecast includes a set number of downloads per month on each plan. At the time of writing, that is 20,000 on Basic and 50,000 on Essential, with custom volumes on Professional and Enterprise. More directories mean more downloads. We forecast the extra listening before launch so a successful rollout doesn't push you past your plan limit unexpectedly.

Curated and cross-show feeds. Simplecast lets networks import episodes across shows to build curated feeds for cross-promotion. Each curated feed is a separate listing decision. We decide which feeds should be public and which should stay unlisted, so directories don't show duplicate episodes under competing titles.

Secondary and ad-free feeds. Professional accounts can run secondary and ad-free feeds. A private or premium feed must never be submitted to a public directory. We keep a clear record of which feed goes where.

Apple Podcasts Subscriptions. For shows selling premium content through Apple, we check the subscription setup alongside the free listing so the two work together.

Consent and privacy. Enterprise publishers with European audiences can use Simplecast's Podcast Consent Manager. We confirm consent settings are in place before new directory traffic begins to arrive.

YouTube Publishing

Video: The YouTube Pipeline Inside Simplecast

Simplecast's YouTube Publishing feature brings audio and video into one workflow. You can:

  • upload a video episode and publish it directly to YouTube
  • let Simplecast generate the audio version for your RSS feed
  • turn audio-only episodes into video for YouTube
  • see YouTube performance inside Simplecast's reports

Used carelessly, this workflow can produce duplicates, for example the same episode uploaded once directly and again through a separate RSS-ingested playlist. We connect your channel, choose one pipeline, and set up the playlist structure. We also write YouTube titles and descriptions for how people actually search on YouTube, which is different from how they search in podcast apps.

Discovery & Podcast SEO

Discovery Beyond the Listing: Podcast SEO

A listing makes your show available. It doesn't make your show found. Most new listeners arrive through search: Google, YouTube, in-app search, and increasingly AI answer engines that summarize what they find. So we build a discovery layer on top of your directory listings:

  • Transcripts published with each episode
  • A canonical page for every episode, so Google indexes one authoritative version
  • Schema markup (PodcastSeries and PodcastEpisode) so search engines understand what the page is
  • A feed auto-discovery tag (rel="alternate") so apps and crawlers can find the feed from your site
  • Episode titles written for real search queries rather than internal jokes

Simplecast's own show website supports transcripts and a custom domain, but its layout options are limited. Many brands get better results by embedding the Simplecast player on their main website, where the domain already has search authority. We recommend whichever route suits your site.

Markets We Serve

USA. This is the deepest podcast market and the only one where Pandora and SiriusXM matter. For US shows, the Creator Connect submission is a priority.

UK. Apple and Spotify dominate, and category choice matters because UK charts are smaller and easier to move within.

Canada. We handle English and French language declarations separately, so bilingual shows reach the right listeners.

Australia. Apple and Spotify carry most listening. We check that Australian spelling and local topics are reflected in the metadata.

Singapore. A small but high-value audience. The correct language setting and a clean English-language listing matter more than the number of directories.

India. Android use dominates, and so do Spotify, JioSaavn, Gaana and YouTube. Regional-language shows need an accurate language setting, and diaspora audiences in the other five markets are worth targeting deliberately.

Our Workflow

Our Process

01

Free feed audit. We review your Simplecast feed, Show Settings, existing listings and audience markets, and send you a short written report.

02

Metadata correction. We fix titles, descriptions, categories, artwork, language and owner email before anything goes out.

03

Directory plan. We agree which platforms to prioritize for your markets. We drop platforms that won't add real listeners and flag any that are closed.

04

Submission and claims. We submit to each directory, complete every verification step, and claim listings that are already live.

05

Verification. We confirm each listing on real devices and record the live URLs.

06

Discovery and handover. We set up badges, YouTube Publishing and the SEO layer, then hand over a single sheet with every listing, login note and next step.

Every step finishes with a verified next action, not just a submission receipt.

Packages

Simplecast Podcast Submission Packages

Starter

Starter. For a single show launching or relaunching on Simplecast. It includes the feed audit, metadata correction, core directory submission (Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube), the Creator Connect route where relevant, and verified listing handover.

Growth. Everything in Starter, plus:

  • the extended directory set and India-market directories
  • listing claims
  • Apple-derived app verification
  • badges and embeds
  • the podcast SEO layer (transcripts, episode pages and schema)

Enterprise. For networks and brand publishers running several shows. It includes:

  • multi-show planning and curated-feed decisions
  • private and ad-free feed control
  • plan-size forecasting
  • consent checks for European audiences
  • a full YouTube Publishing setup
  • ongoing monitoring when new shows launch

We quote every package after the free feed audit, because the work depends on what's already in place.

One thing to be clear about: almost every directory listing is free. You don't pay Apple, Spotify or Pandora to be listed. What you're paying for is the work around the listing, so it's done correctly, verified, and built to be found.

Fit Check

Who This Service Is Not For

We would rather turn work down than sell something that won't help. This service is not a good fit if:

Your show is private or paywalled only. Private feeds should not go into public directories.

You have one unfinished episode. Publish a trailer or a complete first episode, then come back.

You want a guaranteed chart position. No one can honestly promise that, and we won't.

You need audio production or editing. We handle distribution and discovery, not recording or post-production.

Why SEOServiceinIndia

Why Choose SEOServiceinIndia

Experience. We have worked with podcast feeds on most major hosts. We know where Simplecast's defaults help and where they need adjusting.

Expertise. Our team combines podcast distribution with technical SEO, so your listings and your search visibility are planned together rather than as separate projects.

Honesty. We tell you when a platform is closed, when a listing is free, and when a directory isn't worth your time.

Accountability. Every engagement ends with verified live URLs and a written handover, not just a note saying "submitted."

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Get a Free Feed Audit

No. Simplecast gives you an RSS feed and step-by-step instructions, but you submit that feed to each directory yourself, one time each. After a directory approves the show, new episodes appear there automatically.

It's in the Distribution section of your Simplecast settings. The feed only becomes active after you publish at least one episode and have a payment card on file.

Each directory sets its own timeline. Some list a show within hours, while others take several days of review. Simplecast has no control over these timelines, and neither do we. What we can do is remove the errors that cause delays and rejections.

Yes. We submit it through Simplecast Creator Connect, which covers both Pandora and SiriusXM in one submission. Pandora serves US listeners only, so we'll advise whether it's a priority for your audience.

Some directories are still reading your old feed address. We update the feed URL in Apple Podcasts Connect and Spotify for Creators, check the redirect from your previous host, and confirm new episodes appear.

Yes. We connect your channel, choose a single publishing pipeline to avoid duplicate uploads, organize playlists, and write titles and descriptions for YouTube search.

Almost never. Nearly all podcast directories list shows for free. Our fee covers the audit, submissions, claims, verification and discovery work.

We serve podcasters and brands worldwide, with a focus on the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and India.
