Stitcher Podcast Submission Services

If your submission checklist still has a line that says "submit to Stitcher," you aren't alone. Many podcast guides written before 2023 still list it. The reality is simpler and more useful: Stitcher closed in August 2023, and its owner, SiriusXM, now brings podcasts in through a different door. Our Stitcher podcast submission services start from that fact. We don't charge you for a form that no longer exists. We find what Stitcher left behind on your show, send your podcast through the route that replaced it, and make sure the listeners who used to follow you on Stitcher can still find your episodes.

SEOServiceinIndia works with podcasters, brands and networks in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and India. Every engagement starts with a free feed audit, so you know what needs fixing before you spend anything.

Stitcher Shutdown

What Happened to Stitcher, and Why Guides Still Tell You to Submit There

Stitcher launched in 2008 and was one of the earliest dedicated podcast apps. After several ownership changes, SiriusXM acquired it in 2020. In June 2023, SiriusXM announced it would close the Stitcher app and website so it could fold podcasts into its main SiriusXM subscription experience. Both went offline on August 29, 2023. Stitcher's production brands continued making shows and distributing them elsewhere, but the listening app and its public directory were gone.

Submission checklists, "top podcast directories" lists and agency proposals are rarely updated, which is why the Stitcher line survives. A podcaster working through one of those lists either finds a dead form or pays someone who says they "submitted to Stitcher," which is not a real deliverable in 2026.

This matters because it shapes what a legitimate Stitcher podcast submission service can offer. The honest version of this service does three things:

  • It removes Stitcher from your distribution plan and replaces it with the route SiriusXM actually uses today.
  • It cleans up the Stitcher references still scattered across your website, show notes and marketing.
  • It protects the feed URL that your former Stitcher listeners took with them when they moved apps.

Feed Continuity

Where Stitcher's Audience Went

When a podcast app closes, its listeners don't stop listening. They move. Before the shutdown, Stitcher offered an "Export My Shows" option that let listeners download their subscriptions and import them into another app. Many moved to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Podcast Addict, or the SiriusXM and Pandora apps.

The part most podcasters miss is what those export files contain. They don't contain your show name or your artwork. They contain your RSS feed URL exactly as it was in 2023. Every listener who exported and imported their library is now following that URL.

Consider what that means in practice:

  • If you've switched hosts since 2023 and set up a proper 301 redirect, those listeners are still receiving your episodes.
  • If you switched hosts without a redirect, those subscriptions stopped updating the day your old feed went quiet. Your former listeners probably assume you stopped publishing.
  • If your old host shut down or you let the account lapse, the URL may now return an error, and those listeners are gone unless something reconnects them.

This is the core of how we handle Stitcher podcast submission: we treat the old feed URL as an asset worth protecting, not a technical footnote.

Audit Findings

The Three Things Stitcher Left on Your Show

Almost every podcast that was listed on Stitcher still carries some leftover from it. In our audits, the leftovers fall into three groups.

Dead links and badges

"Listen on Stitcher" badges on websites, link-in-bio pages, press kits, media one-pagers, email signatures, YouTube descriptions and printed QR codes now send visitors to a page that no longer plays your show. Each one is a visitor who wanted to listen and couldn't. Broken outbound links also make a podcast website look neglected, and that undermines trust with listeners and sponsors.

An unclaimed successor listing

Some shows that were on Stitcher or on the older Pandora for Podcasters portal still appear on Pandora, but nobody on the team has claimed them in the current portal. An unclaimed listing can drift out of sync with your feed, and you can't see its listening data.

Feed continuity gaps

These are the redirect and identity problems described above: moved feeds without 301s, missing new-feed-url tags, episode GUIDs regenerated during a migration so apps show duplicate episodes, and owner emails hidden inside the feed. Any of these can quietly break the connection between you and your existing audience.

Service Scope

Our Stitcher Podcast Submission Services: What We Actually Do

Every engagement is built from the same five blocks. We scale each one to the size of your show and catalog.

1. Legacy Stitcher footprint audit

We crawl your website and scan your show notes, episode descriptions, social profiles, link pages and marketing assets for Stitcher links and badges. Each one gets replaced with a working destination. Usually that is a universal smart link that sends listeners to their preferred app, or a canonical episode page on your own site.

2. Feed URL continuity check

We trace your feed history back to the URL you used during the Stitcher years. We confirm that every old URL redirects correctly to your current feed, that the new-feed-url tag is in place where your host supports it, and that episode GUIDs have stayed stable. Where the chain is broken and can still be repaired, we work with your current and former host to restore it.

3. Successor submission and claim

We submit your show, or claim it if it already exists, through Simplecast Creator Connect, the portal SiriusXM uses for podcast distribution. One submission places your show on both Pandora and SiriusXM. You keep your current host.

4. Wider directory syndication

Stitcher was only one stop. We verify or complete your listings on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Pocket Casts, Castbox, Podcast Addict, Podchaser and Podcast Index. For shows with audiences in India or among the South Asian diaspora, we also cover JioSaavn and other regional platforms. Directories that require manual claims or review queues get handled by a person, not a one-click tool.

5. Discovery layer

Being listed doesn't mean being found. We publish transcripts on canonical episode pages, add PodcastSeries and PodcastEpisode structured data, set up the RSS auto-discovery link on your website, and tune titles and descriptions for search. This lets your show appear in Google results and in AI answer engines, not only inside podcast apps.

Simplecast Creator Connect

How the Successor Route Works: Simplecast Creator Connect

The replacement for "submit to Stitcher" is a free portal run by Simplecast, a SiriusXM company. It works the same way whether you host with Simplecast or anywhere else. Here is what the process requires and where it usually goes wrong.

The requirements are straightforward. You need a Creator Connect account, a public RSS feed, and square artwork that meets the platform's specifications. You must also accept the current terms of service. Shows that were added through the old Pandora portal need to accept those terms again, which is why many older listings remain unclaimed.

The verification email is the usual failure point. Creator Connect confirms ownership by emailing the owner address published inside your RSS feed, not the address you registered with. Many hosts hide that address by default, and some only reveal it for a short window. If the email never arrives, the submission stalls. We check the in-feed owner address before starting and coordinate the timing so verification finishes in one attempt.

You can't choose just one platform. A Creator Connect submission covers both Pandora and SiriusXM. For most podcasters that's a benefit, but it's worth knowing up front.

Both services focus on North America. Pandora is licensed for the United States only, and SiriusXM's audience is concentrated in North America. For shows with UK, Singapore or India-only audiences, we explain this during the audit so you don't pay for placement that won't reach your listeners.

The listing is free. You're paying for the work around it. Creator Connect costs nothing, and we say so plainly. Our fee covers the audit, the feed repairs, the claim, the syndication work and the discovery layer, which is where results actually come from.

Our Workflow

Our Process

1

Free feed audit. We validate your RSS feed, trace its URL history, and list every Stitcher reference we can find.

2

Fit assessment. We match platforms to where your audience actually is, and we tell you which ones won't be worth the effort.

3

Feed repair. We fix redirects, GUIDs, owner email visibility, artwork, categories and enclosure problems before anything is submitted.

4

Successor submission. We submit or claim your show through Creator Connect and complete verification.

5

Syndication. We complete the manual-claim directories and verify the listings that auto-populate.

6

Footprint cleanup. We replace dead Stitcher links and badges across your website and marketing assets.

7

Verification and reporting. We confirm each listing plays on real devices and send you a live-link report showing what changed.

Market by Market

Who Benefits, Market by Market

United States. This is the strongest market for the successor route. Pandora and SiriusXM reach listeners in cars, on smart speakers and in ad-supported sessions, which suits interview shows, news commentary and business podcasts with US buyers.

Canada. Canadian shows benefit most from feed continuity and full directory syndication. We check whether the SiriusXM listing is useful case by case, since availability outside the US is limited and varies.

United Kingdom. For UK podcasters, the value is in the cleanup: removing Stitcher references, protecting the feed, and strengthening Apple, Spotify, YouTube and Amazon Music listings. Pandora is only worth submitting to if you have a US audience.

Australia. Pandora no longer operates in Australia, so Australian shows get a syndication-first plan with Creator Connect added only for US-facing content.

Singapore. We focus on multi-directory placement, an accurate language declaration, and search visibility for a small but high-value English-speaking audience.

India. Indian podcasters and brands with US diaspora listeners can benefit from Pandora and SiriusXM. Everyone else gets a plan built around JioSaavn, Spotify, YouTube and Android-first apps, along with the same feed protection.

Fit Check

Who This Service Isn't For

We would rather turn down a project than sell a result we can't deliver. This service is not a good fit if:

You want someone to confirm a "Stitcher submission." No one can legitimately do that today.

Your show is private or paywalled only. Public directories need a public feed.

You have fewer than three episodes and no release schedule yet. Build the catalog first.

You expect a guaranteed chart position or a guaranteed download number.

You need audio editing or production. That's a separate service.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Book Free Feed Audit

No. The Stitcher app and website closed on August 29, 2023, and the submission portal closed with them. SiriusXM now handles podcast distribution through Simplecast Creator Connect, which places your show on Pandora and SiriusXM.

Yes. It costs nothing, and you don't need to move your show to Simplecast hosting. When you work with us, you're paying for the audit, feed repair, verification, syndication and discovery work around the listing.

Not necessarily. Some older shows appear on Pandora but were never claimed under the current terms. We check your current status and either claim your existing listing or submit it fresh.

Listeners who exported their subscriptions follow your 2023 feed URL. If that URL still redirects to your current feed, they're still receiving your episodes. If it doesn't, we repair the redirect chain wherever that's still possible.

Creator Connect sends the verification email to the owner address inside your RSS feed. Many hosts hide that address by default. We confirm it's visible before submitting.

Usually not. Pandora is licensed for the United States only. For audiences in the UK, Australia, Singapore or India, we put the effort into directories and search visibility that reach those listeners.

Most Starter projects finish within two weeks, depending on how quickly platforms review submissions. Growth and Enterprise timelines depend on the size of your catalog and how much migration history needs repair.

No. We guarantee correct, verified listings and a clean, well-optimized feed. Rankings and downloads depend on your content and your listeners.
